Description

I’m a skilled mathematics, SAT/ACT, and computer science/programming tutor experienced with middle- to high-school-aged students. I love the rush both the tutor and student feel when the student finally ‘gets’ it, and love working with all types of learners.

I have a stellar tutoring track record, working with clients in my private practice and as a volunteer with the National Honor Society. I’ve tutored both in-person and online, teaching middle school math up through AP Calculus courses, the Java and Python programming languages and AP Computer Science, and the Math sections of the ACT.

During the last half of my Senior year, I worked with a few kids online sharpening their skills for the modified AP Calculus and AP Statistics tests and devised a way not only to teach through a computer but also to keep my more ADD friends’ attention for long periods of time. I became ‘that nerd’ that everyone asked for real help, versus that nerd that everyone just asked for the answers, which was pretty cool.
